Brand new from Balestra Sword Fencing, the "What's my move?" Foil Fencing Coaching card Game is a totally original coaching resource that will transform your coaching and the learning of your fencers!
Do you coach competition fencers who need help to 'read' an opponent's moves? Or beginner fencers who need some consolidation work on the names and actions of the basic moves? Well this game has the answers.
Appropriate for adults and children alike, this tried and tested coaching resource will invigorate your coaching and make the sessions more puroposeful and fun for your class.
The process is very simple - give fencer A a card with a set restriction on it, and fencer B has to guess what their restriction is as they fence them. This not only forces fencer B to 'read' their opponent, but it also forces the fencer with the card to focus purely on a particular action of blade or footwork.
Creates a 'scenario' based situation, that replicates many of the types of opponent fencers will encounter e.g. an opponent who always uses high line attacksForces fencers into thinking carefully about the execution of set fencing actions e.g. "You must fence using only circular parries"Makes fencers 'read' their opponent's moves in order to find their secret restrictionForces attackers to react to their opponents weaknesses (i.e. restrictions)and last but not least ....It keeps fencing fun, whatever your age!
Other combinations include using two cards at once (giving the fencer two things to think about) or giving each fencer a card to use in the same bout.
The set comes complete with 30 pre-printed cards, (delivered in pre-cut sheet form for you to simply press out and use) + a bonus blank set of 10 cards for you to write your own, meaning you can personalise the set to suit the needs of your fencers.
